The Asia-Pacific market is the fastest growing sector for aesthetics in the world, projected to grow steadily at 11.5% CAGR annually up to 2023 - as opposed to a global growth rate of 10.3% yearly. The highest share is held by Japan and the second highest by India. The Indian consumer is demanding better products and has a growing per capita expenditure on cosmetics. The population is large and the market is already exposed to some aesthetic products. Thus India may well overtake Japan as the largest market in the region in the coming years, though high cost of procedures and training needs of physicians are limiting factors.
